Happy New year to one and all!

Not so happy for some but happy for others. Life's like that. Ups and downs, ins and outs, so enjoy it if u're happy and don't worry if you're not! Went out with the gang on friday again to eat, drink, be merry and ended up at peninsula plaza. Play games until marcus fell asleep.

I was cheated la. Went down cos' Haz was supposed to be there but ended up got a whole bunch of other people and no Haz. Anyway...

Coffee addict Monyet Azamat look.

All fat people sleep the same way. 7am in the morning.

Home on saturday was filled with people! Uncle's family on mom's side was over for the week. So had to contend with two cousins who keep bugging me to let them play games on my com.

After strangling and dumping their small bodies, which handily fit in my army duffel bag, in the park behind my house, went out to meet the neighbour to go somewhere nearby to pick up something from someone for a short while. then end up have to go somewhere else farther. :( so almost late late for the big reunion dinner, which would be bad cos' since the cousins were already missing i couldn't afford to not be present.

Had my quiet reunion dinner for which i was almost late for, then went out to meet samantha at holland for milk and cookies, then kbox in clementi to stress my already sore throat.

The smile that makes me smile. One that can make the kbox counter guy give good discount too, or make cheeky old men buy mango puddings by the trayload.

Amalgamation post!
The past couple of weeks have all juxtaposed into each other until i don't realise what happens when.

Anyway, in line with making this blog more colourful...

My coursemate, Jalobeast's artistic rendering! One damn talented dude who keeps doodling during lectures cos' he can't be bothered to take notes, but he still get gpa of 4.5 or 6.
He big asshole.

Juggernaut Judo-Jonathan, another coursemate, who's another smart ass, always volunteer answer in lecture, which is good cos' otherwise the lecturer will keep asking people to talk then no one talk then the whole lecture will diao there for damn long.

"He's very smart! Cute also.... in dunno what way" - Quote from yet another girl smitten with the gentle giant.

It's people like this that makes class quite fun. Got others, like Rogue and Iceman and the mighty duo Gayman and Anal...but no pictures of them. Okay, digressing into griping about the course, wahhh.... every week have to do like 18 - 24 readings, each of them like 25 pages on avg of small sized text.

Can die, but no choice. Work for the future! Earn money! Realise dream! Move to developing country to establish drugs/gun running cartel! Sell burgeoning criminal empire to corrupt government official! Move to beachhouse and bum around, painting and fishing! - Still at step one tho... can die, but no choice.

Life just wouldn't be bearable without them... the legendary triple-shot espressos and cigarettes. Note how far in the cigarette is packed. Shows how much/often/long we've smoked. This pack courtesy of Ahmad. I not at that level yet.

In other news, been hanging out with the dudes pretty often, and here are pictures to prove it!
*All pictures stolen off marcus' blog.
At SMU with haslin-formerly known as hasfatda-da and am-hotlegs-anda.

Is it possible to be having any more fun?? Yes!!

Emo-ing at Boon Lay MRT, the day you went away...

You wouldn't be able to tell just by looking, but BBFs for 16 years! The other guy? Ahhh he's just there cos' we need a cameraman.

Truly brothers-in-arms, brothers proud to be! (Fucking cockblocks too, assholes)

I'm breathing in your skin tonight, quiet is my loudest cry;
wouldn't want to wake the eyes, that make me melt inside.
And if it's healthier to leave you be, may a sickness come and set me free;
kill me while i still believed that you were meant for me.

I’m finding my own words, my own little stage. My own epic drama, my own scripted page
I'll send you the rough draft, and seal it with tears, maybe you'll read it and I'll reappear.
From the start it was shaky and the characters rash,
A nice setting for heart ache where emotions come last
All I have deep inside, to overcome this desire, of friendly intentions and fair-weather smiles.

You'll never guess who i saw on thursday! after volunteer visit, went for supper at JP, then we saw........

DA FAN SHU! POTATO HEAD!!!

I shrieked la! I haven't seen the lao fu zi guys for like years......and then only in comics in malaysia. Then later saw Lao Fu Zi himself but don't have the third guy. :(
oh well it's nice to see them!
Wicked wild weekend with da boyz!
Started on friday, went down to outram to meet ahmad to buy stuff for our long awaited barbeque! (was supposed to be a couple of weeks earlier but shit happened, then we still had to have a bbq cos' ahmad already bought the gas canister)

went to HSA to donate blood with him, but then i was rejected cos' i just came back from malaria-infested cambodia, even tho blood bank is always bugging me for my superduper rare O- blood. so end up only ahmad give.

then popped down to serangoon to buy the food, but we two being the suaku shoppers we are, totally had no idea what to get, then had to call yoke "lady boss heartbreaker" wen for a grocery list, like chicken wings and hot dogs and marshmallows and stuff.

next stop barbeque! saw ahmad's sister's tuition teacher who i thought was quite cute but then has a "malay boyfriend who rides a vespa", so that's a dud there. she still ask for help to contact licensing dept of a record label for song copyrights.... Anyway! the barbeque was great! eat like mad then eat some more!

Made some weird dish by combining everything we could find, which turned out damn nice but will kill you via cholestorol. loads of margarine, cheese slices, steak sauce, sambal belachan, pepper and almost root beer! Great success!

then went out for supper at RK eating house! no pork! and was joined by marcus' SMU friends for a while. i'll end at that, cos' i really don't want to go into details. =X

our staple diet now, cigarettes and coffee.

saturday was tuition for the deaf in the afternoon, then spent the evening with samantha! went to wahiro which yoke wen always raves about, and where the food is really good, even tho i don't understand half of what we ordered. Then went to this ulu gina place to play pool near bugis, and got my ass kicked by samantha (again), before finally cine for this japanese movie "big bang love", not recommended. Like really, only go if u're with someone that you never want to see again or you hate.

had lunch on sunday with her again, but had to run off to meet yw for milo revolution!!!! watched last king of scotland, which is a goot show. then off to seisha and revolution land! FYI, revolution is this new style of ice blended drink or something with ice cream and whipped cream and stuff. It's super sick! madder than the ULTRA FAMOUS SUPER KUNG FU ICE MILK TEA at cathay b1!

Must try! Cathay B1! There's the Ultra Famous Super KungFu Iced Milk Tea and the Great Ultimate Yuan-Yang Drink!!!!!! Filling and scrumptious!

and that's about a brief summary. end result: broke + never do homework + damn tired + depressed + caffeine deficiency = depressive neurotic epileptic chris.

Yay, this is one of those see the world through my eyes posts.....some more random ramblings...
And pics off my phone.

Saw this at a clinic in clementi. The same 24hr clinic we did the Health Promo board anti-smoking video for back in poly, which we bagged first prize but ironically caused lots of people to pick up smoking in the course of filminig as well.

Marcus how? 400 bucks only...........or make ahmad (who still asshole) eat two fries for eternity? Great success!

Every smoker's dubious point of pride, a compilation of boxes. Machiam like armoury. this is the school stash.

In other news, went for lunch with the daddy today cos' he also no kaki and school canteen crowded. Talked through alot, like parenting and growing up in the old days and now. And almost bought cigarettes at the supermarket with him cos' i was buying drinks.

So, he almost bought me smokes for the first time, but they din have what i wanted. that was an awkward moment. Anyway, i love my folks. they are so understanding and liberal that i feel blessed in this life. They never fucked me up even once for having tattoos, smoking or drinking even though i tried to keep it from them.

Blood is blood.

The gravity defying egg of NTU Can 16! This pic wasn't taken in good timing. It was posed. The yolk literally won't drop. All 4 of them.

Anyway, that's all. pics are so much easier to talk about than blogging per se.

Ramblings here.

Listening to Best friend by toy box! Marcus knows.... the ooh woah woah part!

Anyway, the new air freshener soon heng the roommate bought is scary. out of nowhere it will go pssst psssst one time then i will jump. Very creepy to be sleeping in the same room with.

Okay, off to class early and time to get my triple espresso shot and cigarette high in order to last the day again. whee. the eclectic epileptic.

I promise i will update my blogs more regularly. Anyway, this is a placeholder post, meaning i will try to compact everything that's happened to me so far into one nice small entry that people can read by fast fast.

So, the puddle of water pooling by this guy's feet? that isn't water, it's drool.

That's how much we can sleep during lessons during our officer course. Of course, the poor anonymous guy who shall remain unnamed, is in the same uni and hall as me now.

Fastforward a bit more to june 2006 and here we are.

All done up pretty and ready to serve! Those 9 months were hectic and a pretty abrupt transition from life as a student, but it didn't matter, because we were all going back to school anyway.

Now in ntu, doing sociology! it's fun, and you really appreciate being a carefree student after being in the military for a while. exams, lessons, everything is great! i love school!

Okay i'm going to interject here with a picture. This is the most stunned lizard in the world, happily sleeping one morning on a wall when Soon heng my room mate streaked him good with a paint roller.

were at this home for the elderly doing some community work when the poor bugger got raped. as you can see.

then apparently he's going to die cos' the paint will block his skin from breathing or is noxious or something. so.... yep, an eulogy to the lizard.

don't know if you'll know this but i'm partial to lizards. they're good! help get rid of household pests and all that. then there's the old chinese story of if your soup got poison the lizard will drop in so you won't drink it.

Next topic, hair. went to shave it off with marcus so we'd look like convicts. trying for the michael scofield and lincoln burrows looks. no prizes for guessing who's who.

more pics at his blog.

anyway, i'd been thinking of shaving but the bugger wanted to go skinhead. then later he cannot tahan cos' pain. so net result is the ex-convict look.

At zouk the other day. getting too old for clubbing. heh.

There you have it. placeholder! Don't complain i never update. i will!
Resolutions for 2007:
pull up my gpa/cap/whatever they're calling it now to 4.5. will let u know if great success!
don't pangseh people. for whatever reason.
update blog?
okay. that's it. cambodia post coming soon. when i cannot sleep and don't feel like doing work again.

Tuesday, November 21, 2006

Okay, updating my blog today. First time in almost a year.

Lots of things gone by, grown up some and all...

Em, finished ocs, now in university doing s0ciology. pretty fun cos' it's such a normative subject. going back fleet next month after my exams, should be fun too.

i genuinely thought i'd outgrown alot of my previous behavior but i guess some things never change. i'm stuck again in this emotional quandary whereby i don't know what to do again. I just came across something from the past and everything came back to me in a rush, feeling melancholic and reminiscing over another life...

Now got very few friends though, sticking mostly to myself. very lazy to socialize. Kinda feel the less people i talk to the easier it is to get through, but it does get a little boring at times. so i stick to tried and tested friends like buddy ahmad and marcus.

oh well, will update and post pictures soon when i go home.

Elizabethtown is a great show! A little long and draggy and parts, but emotionally stirring. Also propagates a lot of life messages. And advertises the South.

ANyway is good.

Sunday, December 25, 2005

Haven't blogged for a while, anyway, this is a cry for help. does anyone know of any place that i can book for a small function or event, semi-formal, for something like close to about a hundred people? Or even if anyone knows a good events management company?

Anyway, had a firefighting course last week, which was really fun, took loads of pictures too but too lazy to upload them now. Respect the firemen man, their training is tough. Okay too lazy to blog now also.

Merry christmas!

Sunday, December 04, 2005

Wow i just realised i'm damn cheap. I rarely buy things. In fact, more than half the stuff i'm using is either a present, a free gift or someone else's. Like my bags, laptop, ipod, wallet, watch, clothes, heck, even cologne.

The only things i spend on recently have been my handphone, and... cigarettes. At this rate i'll be rich on my pay soon, as long as i don't go out and chiong or stuff.

Ho hum. Booked out early today because of an exercise the prior day. So much to do, so little time.

Sunday, November 27, 2005

So anyway another week has gone by. Sigh.

Had a pretty busy day yesterday, after booked out, met up with my family for lunch, then went back to SP for the Chill open house thingy with fa fa. Wanted to go find all our old lecturers and all to say hi but by the time we got there it was over.

Sooooo.......only managed to see a few chio girls still in school, so it wasn't exactly a wasted trip. The career guidance center was closed too so i didn't get to find out stuff for my uni app. Like..........taking SAT. anyone know where to sign up?

Next, rushed back home, before heading over to neighbour lin's house with marcus for.....another open house. Ended up playing mortal kombat on xbox. Then met Evon the vampire dwarf to watch movie, vampire having dual meanings here. One, she bites, literally. Two, she.... sucks.:X

Lastly, went down to arab street to meet ahmad and ada and marcus again for seisha and talk cock. Wah lau eh. Messed up day. Should have just gone home to play NFS Most Wanted.

Lots of things to do man....and so little time. I neeeeeeed help to apply for uni! anyone?

Save myself a world of trouble. Heh.

Sunday, October 16, 2005

One down, 8 more months left before i can go study... whee. Life in the naval wing is.....very different from the army wings. Instructors do not stay in with us, thus, the naval cadets are rather autonomous and self-regulated.

So....no push-ups, no run there touch that, no verbal scoldings. Any mistakes, you'll just get WPs (Withdrawal of privileges), which simply mean that you book out late or book in early, according to the number of WPs you get, or straight confinement. Sigh. It's also....well, pretty childish here.

Lots of stress because there's a lot of stuff to study and learn, passing grade for some tests are 90%. Fail? No problem, re-test and confine! Plenty of time to study too because there's no lights-out.....can sleep as late as 4am! Just that you still have to wake up at 520.

Anyway, there's very little physical exercise here, apart from morning exercise. I'm getting so fat inside the navy, extra buoyancy and all... but it's quite a pleasant change from perpetually running around in the infantry. Heh. Booking in again later....sigh. Hope time passes faster.

bookout attire - wear until machiam mafia.

No idea why our heads are touching. so gay.

Everytime i'm out i think of stuff to blog about but once i'm home my mind's a blank. Procrastinating about everything again...sigh. Supposed to do a few things, like give comments for some fashion thing for a friends, research on universities to apply for, blog, and some other stuff. but everytime i sit down in front of the computer i end up playing games... Heh

pic from bbq yesterday.

Saturday, September 17, 2005

Ok, it's been a while...

Lots of things been happening. Foremost of which is.....POP loh, l.... got my posting, to OCS Midshipman Wing.....where i will train to be a naval officer! I signed on as a regular too.... for various reasons, i.e. scholarship for my degree, money, chance to travel overseas, hopefully can do a masters while serving my term too.

I'll really miss everyone in BMT...from our instructors to my section mates, had some really great times with those guys. Now i'm chatting with Marcus and he's scaring me with stuff i need to bring and do in OCS. First book in need to bring everything and have so much shit already. Sigh.

In more recent news, just got back this morning from a bbq at mario's place yesterday night. After playing games at his place.....we went down to orchard.....to play more games.....through the night. Finished at 6+ in the morning. Kaoz, that was the first and hopefully last time i play LAN to that extent.

Feeling like the world is passing me by... it's been less than half a year and i'm cut adrift again... from old friends, poly mates...and now bmt mates. I always feel like this at the passing of a life stage, wonder if others do too...

Anyway, just to add some colour... a couple of pics. There's more....but i gotta get it off Mario, who forgot to pass them out yesterday while we were at his place. asshole.

Me, my bmt buddy LaaLaa and Ed, a... natural comedian.

Situational test is done! no more outfield (jungle) training for the rest of BMT! Yay!

too lazy to post up pics on my blog...but will summarize what's been going on... BMT is pretty fast paced. at the end of every week will feel damn stoned, tired out and all. Life is routine and monotonous because of all the bloody waiting time, for administrative and/or boliaoness.

But, it is good because you end up becoming so fit. I feel the fittest ever in my whole life man... aches all over but still going, because of competitiveness. hehe. I absolutely abhor outfield training though, because of the lack of hygiene. Train the whole day, perspire like a mating cow, then can't bath, only powder bath. Mud and sand sticking everywhere...oil, camoflauge cream....etecera. During our field camp, 7 days of rubbish lessons and plenty of endurance training, cos' you lug 30kg odd of stuff around everywhere.

Wearing combat fatigues, which traps heat, eating combat rations, which is something like baby food but with a more pungent smell, swopping my comfortable bolster for a bloody rifle to hug while sleeping, shitting out in the open, over layers of other people's shit, being raped continually by insects, and best of all, corporal punishment. That totally sucks ass, if one person slacks or does something wrong, everyone gets into trouble. Recruits are at the mercy of instructors, whom, if in a bad mood, can be damn unreasonable.

Aaaaaanyway, breezed through everything else, and just concluded our sit test. 3D2N camp to assess our leadership/stress management/peer management aptitude. A small group to run around and try to complete 12 missions, like crossing a river, defending a relay point, that kind of stuff, exactly like adventure camp, so that was pretty fun.

Too lazy to write more... anyway, think there's more than enough people writing about army life, but the problem is that outside of army i don't have much of a life now so can't blog about anything else.
