Effervescent!

Happy happy happy post here~ Past couple of days have been wizard! Monday i finished class early, cos' out of the whole class, only 5 people went....so tutor got a bit pek chek also i think...

Coincidentally finished an hour earlier, so managed to accompany her to work, was meeting ahmad, so it all worked out. =D met up with ning as well for lunch/brunch/tea, ended up running all over the place for the rest of the day, but damn, time flies when you're having fun.

Today finished class early again, cos' we got our first project component back, kinda fucked up that one but it's quite small percentage so i'm consoling myself there. Anyway, met her for movie, the notebook, ended up having to sit in the front row and cricking our necks.

So so so love to spend time with her... with her, everything else takes a backseat. Just end up non-stop grinning like an idiot all the time... Ning commented on that too. -_-' just being with her gives me a glow, like life's worth something, and i can't help but love everyone and everything around me (sorry about today dennis! haha).

Alright, can't remember anything else about the past few days, except her, so i shall blog off now... been listening to a few new really good ulu songs, posted one of them up....soo... enjoy!

Okay update! Slacking the whole week, so school work's piling up, that's usual. Went beach again on saturday, that's becoming a usual thing too... planning on going like every saturday from now on. Anyone interested in going sentosa on saturday just message me or something...

No pics cos' no one bothered to bring camera, no one out of the shitload of people who went... coupla classmates, adele and chao ta mango, 3 03 guys, ahmad and ada, and assorted friends of friends. whoa!

So, anyway just throw in this pic of the (hopefully) last ever SPARC duty i'll do, the SP graduation ceremony, taken with peishan, fellow sparkie and (not fellow) graduand with merit and lots of distinctions. Would put a better one up but unfortunately, i mucked up this one and she didn't send me any others...

Moving on... when i left the house this morning i saw this tour group of students come down the one and only bus that goes my area....apparently they're on a treasure hunt or expedition of some sort.

And my house that area (pasir panjang, haw par villa there) is so ulu it's actually used alot for this kinda races/hunts... like everytime i see big groups of ginna running around, they must be looking at me thinking: "ooh a native! people actually live here!" Goddammit.

K i lazy to blog anymore. so goodnight and go read someone else's blog!

And shepherds we shall be,
for thee my Lord for thee,
power hath descended forth from thy hand,
that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command.
We shall flow a river forth to thee,
and teeming with souls shall it ever be.

In nomine patri, et filii, et spiritu sancti.

Just watched Boondock Saints, a movie that i had never heard of before Dennis sent it to me, told me it's a great movie, and the fag hasn't even watched it yet.

Oh well, turned out to be a fantastic action-comedy movie! You should all go watch it, somehow. Got all my favourite elements, tattoo-sporting gun-toting irish-speaking vigilante brothers fucking over organised crime syndicates. Hahaha the irish accent is bloody cool, think Brad Pitt in Snatch but more coherent.

So anyway, a short synopsis of it would be two irish guys somehow, falling into the lot of being avenging angels (hence, saints) who fight fire with fire, killing off mobsters and stuff. They run into a brilliant gay FBI agent (played by the green goblin), who empathizes with them and decides to help, instead of arresting them.

The filming style is pretty unusual, the script banking heavily on flashback techniques, but the coolest part of the show is how they're sorta like christian hammers (think Hitman), so they make the sign of the cross before any action and chant this prayer before offing someone, plus, there's the Greco-Roman tradition of putting two pennies over the eyes of a corpse to send him off with money for the boatman, ala Troy.

Bah, just watch the show la, it's kickass!

Kk, the blog portion of this post. Not much been happening, slacking in school this whole week, crap, everything's piling up.

Been having revelations about life recently, epiphanies popping all over, about love, friendship, life, whatever man... just feel more optimistic on one hand, but also feeling jaded, the cynicism that age brings... heh.

Oh yeah, more resolutions.... not to play LAN for at least another month, damn sian of it. not to waste time with people i don't give a shit about. and lastly...be honest! with everyone about everything!

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY!

yay! actually, whatever man. Thankfully, i don't have to go ndp this year! Can avoid hours of doing shite i don't like, smiling at pricks i want to slap, and essentially wondering why i'm supposed to feel proud doing something suited best to bimbos, i.e. ushering.

Sunday was transcendent. Went out with 'her', didn't do much, but she's reason enough for the whole day to be so wonderful~ ^-^ happyhappyhappyhappy

Anyway, on saturday went beach, will blog on that when Joel sends me the pics *hint hint*

Feeling ebullient!

Monday, the start of another school week, came for a couple of lectures and slept through most of it.... ahhh kinda miss the feeling of sleeping in a lecture... Thanks AA!

Kept bumping into the dac class we 'fac'ed for... o_O, guess that'll keep happening every monday because apparently they use the same lecture hall right before and after us. Oh well, it could be worse, i could keep bumping into... ms. kwa.

Had WFW test (one-on-one web analysis session) after that, plenty of time to prep and have lunch too.... lucky thing Dennis went just ahead of me...

RunJian: "I feel more confident seeing Dennis do the test first..."

Me: "Yes, i'm so glad i'm going right after him, because by comparison i'll seem good."

Hahahaha yes, it's wonderful having such a supportive classmate! See Dennis, you inspire us! Anyhow, after the test came the best part of the day, heck, best part of the week!

Went out with 'her'! Finally! After four whole days of not seeing her! Damn, i got so nervous and jittery while waiting for her. Met, chatted and off we went to watch Connie & Carla at PS.

Sometimes, she can act so disaffected and distant it's disheartening, but when she laughs and smiles, oh boy, time stops. I would do anything to make her happy and hear her laughter...

Over dinner, the scintillating conversation turned to varying topics, such as class affairs and who's-in-love-with-who, (Yes K.H., she knows!) and how the staff outnumbered the customers at the cafe. Some well-sculpted compliments (You're fat, ate too much pie), and the evening was complete...

I want to tell her how i feel but i don't dare, i don't know if it's the right time or premature eja--- TIMING! timing! Oft times while talking to her, i feel like just holding her hand, hugging her, brushing her hair... but i guess that's all TMI (Too Much Information, see! i'm just full of useless netcronyms) for you guys... hehe so i'll skip off the details and end off here.

Adrift~
Thursday 29/07
End of the month, life's getting stuck in a rut again. Just had my MIA presentation today, prepared nice anecdotes and little things to talk about last week, but then class was cancelled, so did my presentation today, when i forgot everything.

Still and all, i think i did okay, didn't get the thing i feared most, an indifferent audience. Oh well, after that Terence, Jethro and I crashed UCCD lecture, got spotted by the lecturer, probably cos' we were playing Daidee, but she was nice enough to let us stay.

Didn't see 'her' today, so sad sad sad, then tomorrow she's going out with frens, so i sadder still. On the plus side! I'm seeing, or will be seeing, all my wonderful SPARC friends who i haven't seen for a long time!

They will all be looking for me to kick my ass because i haven't been going for NDP rehearsals and stuff, pass me warning letters, tell me how much of deep shit i'm in and all that... hahahaha!

It's just that, to me it's not important, priorities in life have shifted i guess;

i want to spend more time with the people i love, (okay except my family because with them i'm kinda saturated already, but i still love them!) like my buddies, old and proven friends, and of course, 'her'!

i want to study hard, prep for all my work and get good grades, work hard for once...

i want to be able to be myself!

i want my kali sticks!

but mostly i just want a sense of inner peace, something that's lacking right now... focus on life, not just going thru everyday without any growth or accomplishment.

Wednesday 28/07
Wednesday was the date for Connect 2004! While i was cybering with clarence he told me to mention it, so here it is.

Sat out most of it because i was at FC5 so i only attended the ass-portion of the event, but i wouldn't have it any other way... hahahaha! Anyway, watched Y.M.B (Your Mother's Band, sorry but they don't have a webbie) perform, with Clarence as botak headbanger-wannabe guitarist and Jethro as i-have-longer-hair-than-u jizzwailer... freakin' hilarious man...

But seriously they're not too bad, the lead guitarist, emmanuel i think, is good! Anyway, the important thing is, spotted a couple of chio girls in DMC, next time can keep an eye out for them. :P

Right that's about the furthest i can remember....so i shall stop blogging now...

Shitty day today... left for school on time for once, early summore....den both buses i have to take took damn long to come.....think they're taking even more buses off the route i use... >_< so ended up late for school.

Anyway, Kwok hao called me while i was at the bus stop to tell me that the toopid lecturer was having his period....and to hurry up. Best part is... later when the bus reached the stop after dover mrt, i pressed the bell, but the "Bus Stopping" light never come on....i thought the driver heard the bell sound liao and can see me at the door, so he'd still stop. But the asshole just drove on.

That's when i decided not to go to school, since i had a dental appointment in the afternoon but i left the card at home. Soooooo... i went home to get the card, managed to go for a swim too! Hahahaha nice! Hopefully i can get the doc to issue me an MC to cover for the morning class as well...

Funniest thing is when i was waiting for bus to go school it takes forever to come, but when i was going home both buses came instantly, like before-i-sit-down-at-the-stop-to-wait instantly.

On a last note; Connect 2004's tomorrow! Yay! can't wait can't wait!

Some of the other peeps taking CDA gawking at the animals...

This bear has a really f**ked up expression on his face. He looks stoned on weed.

Muthafcuking big crocodile! Cam was on min zoom and he still so big! Took up like the whole glass panel....

Donkey!

Lion that looks like it's about to rape the lioness...

Monkey loving menage a trois.

Love this pic, dunno why. whole lotta red ass baboons!

Okay that's about it for the animals....

Extreme close up pic of terence, taken by F.F. Fa. (Shit man that sounds like a pro photographer name or something....)

Another ECU by F.F. Fa, this time of me! Actually was fiddling with the camera's settings and trying to take selective focus shots... i.e foreground clear but background fuzzy...

Shifa! the dood who took the portrait pics.

Alright i'm lazy to blog words. so chilllz!

Was reading this compilation book my mother foisted on me today, with select stories from very good authors...

Read 'the vanished man' by jeffery deaver, about a killer who was trained in magic (the sleight of hand, illusionist, card tricks kind, not the cast fireball and manatap kind...)

Anyway, one part of it mentioned 'body reading', which reminded me of something i learnt about a long while back from god-knows-who. It is a very 'jian' method of getting a person to relax and feel comfortable around you, similiar to reading and mimicking body language, but more deceitful.

So firstly, you mention or talk about topics that let u steer the conversation to finding out personal details about the person, without actually asking.

We'll use the context of trying to pick up a girl, in this instance, because i'm a horny bugger, and so are most of the people who read my blog.

For example: "Break ups are usually hardest on the girl, because some guys can really be jerks."

Note: If u dunno how to read body language, facial expressions and gestures, don't bother reading the rest of this post.

Soooo... if that statement has a visible effect on the girl, you should be able to estimate if she has had a bad break up or something too... That's when you...uh.. make up stuff about your own bad relationships.

The point is to preempt the person when talking about yourself, so that she'll go "Oh yeah, me too!" and find that you two have alot in common, or at least, appear to. Generally, people tend to feel more relaxed among people they can relate to.

Evil right? short-term also.... to be used only for one night stands or smth... cos' anot sure will find out 1...unless you're very careful what you lie about. :P

Escrima Escrima Escrima!

My latest kick (filipino stick fighting), something i learnt a little of, a long while back, from randy and ronnie. Samprada and all that...but i wan learn sinawali (two sticks)... hopefully there'll be a class at katong mall starting soon...

Had a fantastic day today! The best!

In the morning, went to california fitness with joel and got damn demoralized because the neh^neh must do everything with at least double the weights of what i do. >_< I henceforth resolve..........

to go to gym only with fat and unfit people in future.

Gym over, went home to grab my stuff before heading to school earlier than i had to, to meet fuckhead jethro, who was late for his class by ½ an hour and decided to skip it completely.

My only class for that day, MIA was boooooooooooooring. go thru two horribly dry research papers/articles and watching a news programme. Highlight of the class was telling Dennis repeatedly he was screwed cos' he din really prepare for his presentation, and HKL was in a *black mood.

*Speaking of black, the 03 asses (ref to 7th July post) are still at the childish stage of pinching each other, when a Sikh appears. Soooo... while watching the tape of the news programme, everytime one appeared, we'd all jerk up and alternately pinch,'chop' and block. -_-'

Only good thing that came out of that class was i learnt how to fold paper cranes and seagulls... Yay! Important life skill, origami.

After the turban wars ended, headed to Orchard to meet up with Ahmad, and 'tried' to help him quit smoking. I'm such a good friend! We were all meeting up, Ahmad, Ada, Shyuan and me, to go for this dance thing at victoria theatre, that Safuan recommended. THANKS SAF!!! _|_

Decided to have a late dinner after that, at some weird Rangooli 8 or something place, that serves up Naan and Pizza! Funny combination, but it's not the place, it's the company that matters!

I realised i didn't mention exactly why today was so wonderful, despite all my rhetoric... but if you know me even a little. You'd know why. :P

Cheers! and thanks for reading you bums! Get a life!

Anyway, i found a really really really cool old song, by Sinead O'Connor, dunno how many of you heard of her before.

-Nothing compares to you-

DAAAAAMN NICE! go download, or get from me, or shut up and go one corner.
Wahahahahaha!

-Reminder to myself: Buy the Sinead O'Connor CD-
God, i just did the dumbest thing in my whole life a little while ago. Too dumb to mention here because otherwise everyone will label me an idiot. Those that haven't yet, anyway.

The 600 bucks is finally in! I got cash to spend again! Reason is cos' i paid out to my groupmates on monday already... then i was in the hole for a couple of hundred... almost about to go change foreign currencies for spending money... Yay!

Anyway, we had MIA(Media In Asia) tutorial today, and got screwed with two huge reading files... soooooo much reading and writing up to do. >_< sucks man.

Tomorrow we'll have CDA (Creative Digital Art), which promises to be a kickass class because we've got a laid-back brit teaching us. Fun elective and fun teacher! Woo hoo! (That is, if he doesn't tua us again)

Wednesday, July 07, 2004

Ooyar. Wanted to separate the posts so my picture doesn't show up along with a piece of shit.

This is taken during the freshman orientation programme flag day, while we were waiting for jethro to...umm... do his thing. But in the end it was so fun, even after jethro came, we were still playing at it.

Okay, the four of us, jet, me, daniel n clarence were doing this stupid thing, outside the school of business' main office.

We were telling people who passed by, we got caught, and were being punished for not wearing our lanyards by the school director, Mr. V Maheathen*, which is a joke! because no one wears lanyards in poly, and it's a retarded punishment only seen in primary schools anyway.

*Name purposely mispelled so he doesn't find this site while searching for his own name.

Sooooo... results of this social experiment was...
a)most lecturers just take a look and either, walk away like it's none of their business, or go: siao eh!
b)some students are actually gullible enough to believe our lame story. *cough cough* wei jun *cough*
c)it really is damn funny

Later, when the director came...

We all smartened up and acted really sad. In the end he stopped by and asked us what the hell we were doing... haha then he was joking about it being therapeutic and a yoga exercise, rubbing your earlobes and the nerve meridien there. Bugger really has a sense of humour...
Olla! Three days since school started... been going to the gym, out and school... very tired. Just no energy to do anything else man...

Feeling... a little down now. As in i've been floating for a while now...so sooner or later must come back down to earth... and normality... :(

Anyway! We have AA for ICM! A major major module with a huuuge project, which means we'll really have to work damn hard... at staying awake.

Read Dennis' blog for more details on AA.

While i'm on the topic of school, let's talk about my least favourite lecturer. The fucker man. I still remember last time he came to sub for Ms. L³'s lesson once, and treated our class like shit. Insulted our parents and acted like he's the biggest dick around.
(Yes ms. kwa i realise this is permanently online, even if i delete it because of archives and cache files...)

Anyway, the point is, since he's teaching our class officially this semester, he is treating us better and not acting like an ingrown penis. Because. We fill in lecturer evaluation forms, and can finally bitch back about him. Bloody hypocrite. Act nice and enthu and all that, simply because if enough people fill in negative criticisms about him, his ass is on the line.

To get a better idea of how he's like here's a picture of him...

Sunday, July 04, 2004

Okay, finally got down to putting up the pictures from the Malaysia trip... resized them like hell so it'll be viable to upload.

My two youngest cousins. Petrina, the girl loves to smile and Paul, the guy always act blur 1...

Looking for a bear... on every page! in every book she has! Waaaaaaaah!

Mandatory family posed pic...

Told you she likes to smile...always willing to pose for camera...

Believe it.

Anyway, this is all taken during my gramma's b'dae dinner at some hotel restaurant... then a wedding dinner was going on at the same time too with a super tua kee bride and a super lao jiao groom... see also no appetite liao...

It's actually a great feeling to be one of the oldest peeps in my generation here... now i finally understand why EVERY UNCLE AND AUNTIE i have must keep telling me :"WAAAh you so tall now, i still remember when you were like that. *draws a line at waist level*"

My momma and Paul, both caught in a rare smile!

One of my nephews, Luke. The last time i saw him he was this tall! *draws a line at knee level*

Ahhh the cycle of life...
